Check in here if you're still alive.
The severe earthquake trapped me in my cellar but fortunately I have enough food and water to hold out until someone checks out my distress beacon, and the rubble is too deep for the zombies to get to me. So technically, I'm alive. For now at least. Hopefully no more balors show up because I'm out of nitrogen.

I'm alright. I'm with a survivor group of 4 after the zombie outbreak. We just met after an evac station was shut down at the top of a hotel.

Re: May 22nd, 2011
I'm good. There's a lot of water here. The defense mote my dad put in a while back flooded, but it's keeping the zombies at bay.
Re: May 22nd, 2011
Alright, two problems have arisen for me.
First, I'm running out of air. It looks like that's going to be what kills me before dehydration or starvation sets in. I reckon I only have about eight hours to come up with a plan.
Second, there's something other than zombies outside my cellar. It sounds like pterodactyls I think. Maybe that half eaten man who crawled past my barricade earlier and uttered advice to me before dying was right. Maybe they can smell you.
Does anyone have any advice?

My Zombie Survival Team is doing quite well. We've got more than enough supplies and are moving towards a superstore to kick butt and chew gum. And we're all out of gum.
Re: May 22nd, 2011
Yeah pere, your only option is to build a moat.

The zombies have left my home. I think they realised that our moat is so awesome they'll never get through it.

Saw Tom's group today. I shot Tom in the legs with my double-barrel and kept walking.
Wait, is that a bloody DINOSAUR?

So, I've teamed up with my friend Sam and we're off fighting off the zombies with whatever we can find. I'm getting desperate.
Re: May 22nd, 2011
I'm worried. My Zombie friends are all being killed. This genocide cannot be unavenged.

That defeats the purpose of building a moat to begin with.V wrote:No but seriously Pere, I would build a moat and put a Tridge over it.

Still good over here, our house can actually hover 40 feet in the air so the zombies are resorting to making zombie ladders out of each other. 15 zombies on each others shoulders later, they were dropped down by us swinging housecleaning equipment.

Re: May 22nd, 2011
Finally got internet to check on you guys. After the Earthquake and subsequent release of toxic chemicals, my family was able to salvage a boat near Muskegon, Michigan. Siphoning what was left from our car, along with a couple others in the area, we used the boat to traverse Lake Michigan to reach Mackinaw Island are are currently building fortifications around the lighthouse.
The rest of the town seems unaffected for now, but reports from other survivors are coming in on the Battery Powered Radio that a zombie outbreak is occurring near the metropolitan areas of Grand Rapids, Lansing, Flint, Chicago, Jackson, Kalamazoo, and Detroit. None of us on the island can confirm this, but we are taking no chances.
Hopefully we'll be able to stave off any potential threats that enter the island. We recently started receiving signal from one of the orbiting satellites, so Internet is now an accessible resource once again.
I brought my Zombie Survival Guide with me. My dad heckled me at first, but now it's being read like a second Bible. Heck, the town is now setting up a clinic to treat new arrivals to the island to make sure no one is infected when they arrive.
Speaking of arrivals, be aware that although we got to the island rather unmolested by the locals, others will not have it as easy. Patrols are now sweeping the beaches, watching for anyone failing to announce their arrival and possibly being shot on sight. Make sure to radio in your credentials before making a port, otherwise you'll spook the guards.
Glad you guys survived! I was worried...

Re: May 22nd, 2011
The zombies seem to be coming specifically from Atlanta, the Center of Disease control, actually (How Ironic!).
The disease spread through waterways quickest. The great lakes are a hotbed of it, as you can imagine.
Lake Erie was gross enough to begin with, the water isn't safe. We're stockpiling bottled water as much as we can along the caravan. We're headed for New York, see you soon, V!
Funny, the radio must be on the fritz....Emergency broadcast has gone dead.
