Yu-Gi-Oh!
The topic regarding everybodys favourite childrens card game!
What are your thoughts about it? Good or bad?
Do you play it, if so then what deck?
Card games on motorcycles?
Do you like the anime or the manga rather than the game? What are your favourite moments from the two? What do you think of the fact that the original manga and anime games HAD NO ACTUAL RULES! (No seriously, they use completely inane and ridiculous combos. See below!)
And so forth.
Discuss!

Uhh yeah. I liked the Original when I was 7. That's about it and I know it is not cool anymore.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I hated it when I was little because "it ripped off Pokemon" and I hate it now because it's a boring card game. Pretty sure most people I know feel the same way.
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I sorta like it but I agree about crazy combos, for instance.
I use Super Mega Dragon's Holy F*** Lazer to reflect of Mirror Killor and magnify through bug watcher and kicking the a$$ of your monsters.
But I'm only ten...

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I loved the original series in high school. Sweet Ra, the fanfiction me and my best friend at the time whipped up of it and most of the fanfiction I read lead me into leaning into certain shipping tendencies. I still own a few of the Millennium World manga. Loved Millennium World/Dawn of the Duel mostly because I was (and still am) a Mahado (Dark Magician) fangirl.
Used to play the game, but no longer. Not even sure what happened to my cards.
And the Abridged series is awesome.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I agree with Darre, when they finished the original Saga with Yugi when I was in 4th grade we all called it You-Gay-Ho, still seems fitting although I haven't watched it since then.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I disagree with the first post, I liked the Pokemon TCG more.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I loved playing it and was quite good. I sold my first deck and made about $70 off of it and the rest of the cards I have since given away. I never liked the rest of the TV shows. They were horrible
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I kind of enjoyed it at one point, but I didn't understand how to play so I was always beat.
At some point I gave all my cards to my friend's little brother because he didn't have any good ones.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Yu-Gi-Oh: I play a Level Dragon Deck and a Zombie Sweeper Deck.
Pokemon TCG: I play a Speed Fire Deck and a Wind Sweeper Deck.
In both games I like to hit hard and fast, preferably gaining field superiority within the first 3~4 turns or so.

Tbh I can't name 7 pokemon anymore. Or 3 You-gay-ho (mosters?) anymore.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I actually enjoyed the latter series.
The first one... not so good, it just seemed like they made the cards overblown: the whole fate of the world resting on it and all that. Plus it was so convulted it got confusing. The GX series wasn't much better: but I think they actually put a bit more work into the characters, when Jaden went evil it was awesome.
Third series... Card Games on Motorcycles aside it was my favourite. The characters had more depth to them, and the retcon of the card games being not so important to the fate of the world. But simply a popular global sport that happened to be linked to a high power energy source and the platform to which deitys adapted was good. It made more sense.
Latest one... I guess I will wait before I make up my mind, but I ain't too crazy about the art!

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh!
I honestly don't give two ****s about the Television Series because watching makes me wish I had a Hernia in the groin instead. It's just AWFUL.
