Re: Mass Effect 3.
Basically all you need to know is the ending was totally anticlimactic for a game that is built on the grounds that all of your decisions in all the games intertwine and carry through.

Re: Mass Effect 3.
Are we talking about the original Deus Ex or Deus Ex Human Revolutions? Because if the ME3 endings were worse than the DE:HR ones I could really feel your pain.

DE:HR. Someone said the three choices were basically the same, except rewritten to fit the universe.

Re: Mass Effect 3.
Then I can understand. The ending of DE:HR ruined the whole game for me. A game that was otherwise quite nice. But now I have that lovely aftertaste in my brain. Screw you Eidos Montreal.

Re: Mass Effect 3.
- I tried to put the endings to Deus Ex comparison, but I don't know the game enough so yeah.:
A is DESTROY. You destroy the Reapers and the technology originating from them(spoilers, all major scifi-tech in the galaxy originates from them).
B is CONTROL. You take control of the Reapers and they leave Earth alone(most likely all the other systems currently under attack as well).
C is SYNTHESIS. You combine organic and synthetic life, stopping the need for Reaper cycles.
I have no idea how these are related to Deus Ex but I'm sure someone can figure it out. I also didn't reveal the exact details of the endings because I wanted to spare you the pain.

Re: Mass Effect 3.
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution endings:
- 1) broadcast Darrow's confession about augmentation and the Illuminati, which will warn the public of the potential dangers surrounding augmentations and ensure that the technology is permanently banned
2) blame the Humanity Front for the biochip sabotage, thus denouncing the anti-aug movement to the public and ensuring augmentation is developed further
3) blame the event on tainted augmentation anti-rejection drugs, thus urging the public to impose strict regulation on augmentations, but removing any mention of the Illuminati and putting them further into power
4) set the entire facility to self-destruct, destroying the truth along with those who would spin it—including the player character — letting humanity decide for itself
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DibJL1F6S5k
- original Deus Ex endings:
- 1) plunge the world into a second Dark Age by destroying the global communications hub and preventing anyone from taking control of the world.
2) bring the Illuminati back to power by killing Bob Page and using the technology of Area 51 to rule the world with an invisible hand.
3) merge with Helios (an AI with the ability to control all global communications) and rule the world as a benevolent dictator with infinite knowledge and reason.

Now I want to play the original Deus Ex again to find out why I have it in so much better memories than DE:HR.

False. The best video game critics are Ben Croshaw and Adam Sessler.

Re: Mass Effect 3.
Picture related.
They finally got to finish the EXTENDED CUT to Mass Effect 3, to "clarify" the issues brought up by players. And the endings are still stupid. They did add one though, where you can opt to shoot Star Kid in the face because you are the master of your own fate and won't take spoonfed solutions, but that leads to ERRYONE DYING, although the next cycle defeats the Reapers thanks to the timebox Liara leaves behind with all the needed info to get the Crucible to work without a Reaper mindscrew arriving trying to get you to pick Synthesis or Control. Because we can't have the game ending in the way we want, we have to pick from endings some new and mysterious character tells us to.
Yadda yadda yadda.
Let's move on to more HILARIOUS news, because I hate Peregrine with every atom in my body and there's nothing more I enjoy than seeing him squirm and suffer with everything Mass Effect(3) related.
http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/725415/mass-effect-3-leviathan-dlc-pack-on-the-way-lets-get-to-know-the-reapers/
Hidden in the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC was a code that suggested more Mass Effect 3 DLC is on the way. The existence of the DLC has since been confirmed via a Tweet from BioWare's own Mike Gamble, who said, "Would now be a good time to talk about how we're doing more DLC in the future?"
The upcoming pack, which for now has been unofficially dubbed "Leviathan" was originally found by the BioWare Social Network and has been posted in full on Pastebin. Read on to learn more about the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC, but consider this your spoiler warning.
The DLC will follow Shepard on his journey to save a scientist named Ann Brynson from a Reaper-indoctrinated mining colony. It'll be up to Shepard and crew to infiltrate the colony, which has been under the control of a Reaper named Leviathan for almost 10 years. Based on your choices, Brynson can either live or die.
However, even though the DLC will send you on a rescue mission, the real focus will be the Reapers themselves. Leviathan is referred to as a defector in the game's script, which leads us to believe he'll be able to join your crew to fight against the other Reapers as a War Asset. Hopefully Leviathan he'll even be able to offer a little more insight on his "race" and its creators as well.
And even if you get a Reaper on your side, the endings will remain the same. Mark my words.

Re: Mass Effect 3.
Yeah I already came across it. If Bioware knows what they're doing they'll have a boss fight added with this DLC in which TIM pilots Harbinger and you pilot Leviathan. Too bad instead we'll probably get a war asset we don't need because they lowered the points needed for the best ending and will never see because they're not going to edit any of the cutscenes showing the fleet.
To be fair to Bioware though it sounds a bit interesting, although I thought it was already established that the Leviathan of Dis was the reaper the batarians took to Kar'Shan for study that indoctrinated most of their military and science leaders.
