I lie awake, with open mind
Hoping somehow, that I’ll find
The answer I’m seeking, somehow clear
The answer to, my greatest fear
The fear to love, the fear to lose
A fear to be given, the chance to choose
The fear to doubt, a fear to hate
A fear to be left, in true love’s wake
This fear will come, it eats away
Until it comes, that faithful day
You close your heart, you shut them out
You bow in shame, cloud-ed with doubt
About the people, who cared the most
And so I say, to life a toast
A toast to those, who managed to stay
A toast to those, who don’t meet that day
And now I say, to all it’s true
Lose your true love, and your life will rue
I tell you now, you’ll shed a tear
If you happen to share, my greatest fear

I’ve always wondered, what’s wrong with me
I’ve always tried, for insanity plea
But lately I’ve realized, more recent it seems
That I have to give up, on my hopes and dreams
And I’m trying to think, if I played my part
What kind of war, would I in turn start
The war between creatures, beast and human alike
I’m starting to wonder, were my birth parents right
I’m wondering now, should I give up and fight
Should I give up and fight, that which o-presses me
Should I give up and fight, so you can see what I see
I don’t want to be right, I so long to be wrong
But I have to tell myself, you need to be strong
There’s no time to look back, or live with regret
I need to live life, because soon I’ll forget
I’ll forget all the faces, that caused me this pain
I’ll forget all the voices, that in my ears rang
The voices and faces, drove me to the edge
So I stand on a cliff, looking over the ledge
One more wrong word, and surely you’ll see
You’ll see just how cruel, a serial killer can be
You’ll push me over the edge, I’ll be falling straight down
Then I can show you, dead faces don’t frown
Though I’ll give you a mirror, in your final hour
So that you can see, you were the right bower
The card that was played, it sealed my fate
As I look you in the eyes, with a gun to your lips
An insane look on my face, clothes filled with rips
As a grin flashes my lips, I lean down and kiss yours
I know full well, what’s waiting down a few floors
As I draw back, I see you looking at me
“In living you suffered, so in death you’ll be free”
The look in your face, pleading and sad
I looked away, thinking of good times we’ve had
As the gun turns on me, I smile bright and true
“Always remember, I love you”

You think to yourself, “Why do this now?”
The voice in your head, “Why not just take a bow?”
You answer aloud, “Because that wouldn’t be fun.”
You’re standing outside, 40th floor in the sun
You take a deep breath, and yell down below
“Is this what you want, did you come for a show?!”
The people look up, amazed to see
The suicidal face, staring down with glee
You stare down below, straight to the ground
You reach for your chest, just to feel your heart pound
You step to the edge, care-ful not to slip
People look up, hoping you’ll trip
As you stare off the metal cliff, your body goes stiff
Your body is stiff, your senses are numb
You fall over the edge, feeling slightly dumb
When a pair of arms catch you, not but a floor down
As you look at her face, you notice a frown
The next thing you notice, is that she’s the one
The one that you’ve known, the one that you love
She caught you so easily, like a ball in a glove
She spoke just a few words, about how this unfurled
“To the world you are one, but to one you’re the world”

Time, The essence of life
The killer of youth
It is what keeps people apart
But also what pulls us together
It is good, yet evil as well
It keeps us apart from those we love
But brings us closer to those we don't know
Two weeks apart is a lifetime for lovers
Yet two weeks together is like no time at all
It can go so fast, but also so slow
It keeps us alive, and kills us inside
It is the essence of life
And the harbinger of death

Almost lovers, heart breakers at least
False hope at something not meant to be
Almost lovers, the heart's worst nightmare
A dream you don't wake from until it's too late
A heartache in training, regret waiting to happen
A time-bomb of depression
Yet also a whirlpool of inspiration
Almost lovers, the bitter-sweet fruit of life

The time has come, for my life to end
It seems for my life, there's no way to mend
I hit a dead end, because my life is hell
No matter what I do, it never ends well
My life's gone to ruins, blown up in my face
It seems that i'm hated, by the whole human race
But death is an illusion, for the soul lives on
Death is an illusion, for we're never really gone
We're in the hearts and minds, of those we love
Even if our soul, is somewhere far above
Or far below, for those full of sin
Filled with the evil that corrupts us, starting within
So I ask you now, don't waste my breath
For I won't explain my reason, for the illusion of death
