Humble Bundles Empty Humble Bundles

Humble bundle discussion?

For those of you who don't know, there's a company who puts on bundles of indie games every now and then to raise awareness for those games. The cool thing about them is that you can chose what you pay. You can pay 1 cent (if you're a heartless fiend) or 1 thousand dollars. You can also chose how the money is split between Humble Bundle Inc, the developers of the game, and charity (Child's play and EFF). Some of the best indie games of the year have been in bundles, including VVVVVV, Frozen Synapse and the Binding of Isaac. I've got the Frozenbyte bundle and the current running bundle, the Introversion bundle.

I haven't tried out all of the games from this bundle, only Darwinia. The games seem to be mostly high tech voxel styled games, from what I can tell.

So, have any of you bought any of the bundles? Any games you got from them you'd recommend? These bundles almost always have one good game, and the money goes to a good cost, so its worth it to spend a couple bucks.

Oh yeah, link: http://www.humblebundle.com/

Darwinia is one awesome game, I've played it years ago and I had one hell of a time. Shows you that it's not the graphics that count, it's the gameplay. This game alone makes the bundle worth getting.

I've gotten all bundles since number three. Is a very good deal and gives to charity.

I think you didn't understand this thing. You pay as much as you feel comfortable. If you feel like ripping them off then that is entirely your fault.

They just added the roguelike dungeon crawler Dungeons of Dredmor to the current bundle, you get it if you pay more than the average $4.

Now I'm even more tempted to get this bundle.

Yup, I got myself this bundle and I must say that Dungeons of Dredmor is great. It has high character customization (aka lots of stats, skills and items), humor (witty descriptions and monsters taunting you) and even Steam achievements. It seems very polished, too. So if you're into roguelike dungeon crawlers, get this bundle. Dungeons of Dredmor alone is worth whatever you decide to pay, and you even get some other great games on top of it. Like Darwinia. I loved that game. Will certainly play it again once I had enough Dungeons.

Humble Bundle 4 is out.

We're ready to drop seven new cross-platform, DRM-free games down your digital chimney. Bandage your fingertips and prepare your mind for the challenges of Super Meat Boy, Shank, Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, and NightSky. If you pay more than the average price, you'll also get two massive, well-loved indie favorites: Cave Story+ and Gratuitous Space Battles.
TAKE MY MONEY.

>paid more than the average price
>by the time I had finished the transaction, the average price went up over what i paid

So I didn't get cave story+ and the other one.

I emailed them so hopefully I can either get the games for what I paid, or get the button that says "Add to your order" clarified.

That's what you get for being a cheap jerk. Could have paid more than $5 and not have that problem.

Are you saying that everyone who buys this bundle is cheap because they're not paying the 100$ retail price?

Even if it is, they're still making WAY more money than they would selling the games separately. In around 2 hours they hit 100 thousand copies sold, and there's 2 weeks left. They've already made more than 500k which is more than most indie devs could dream of in a couple hours.

Not everyone pays that much for them though. I'm sure there are heartless jerks paying only 1 cent, and others paying $10+. Can't really tell man.
