Thanks. Chopped off its head and put it on a pike.
Then I had to kill another one because I actually wanted to butcher it, not chop off the head. Because when you chop off the head the body magically vanishes.

Re: Hazordhu II
Okay this game is now officially free to play with no limitations whatsoever. Only the leader of a group needs to be a subscriber, and since I found 6 bucks under my couch I became the leader and created a group. All members of the group can use all those restricted items too, without the need of a subscription. Pretty swell.
So if you give the game a try, give me a nudge on MSN so I invite you to our group.

Re: Hazordhu II
So is this game like a really cheap kingdom-builder as advertised, or just ADVENTURE in a prebuilt world?
And most importantly, can I build a vast underground metropolis full of fiendish traps? And maybe some actual traps too. Joined, apparently under the name of my BYOND ID, invite me so I can be part of the cool gang too.

Re: Hazordhu II
I can only invite you if you're on the same screen as I am, and we both need to be online. So give me a nudge on MSN or so and I'll come invite you. I even give you a key to the Reverse Lamity base, which is super awesome but sadly not underground.
And yes, if you have the time you can build a vast underground metropolis. Sadly there are no traps in the game, so the most fiendish thing you could build is a labyrinth, I think.

Re: Hazordhu II
I'll do that. Downloaded the files this morning before I went to work and I'm in the starting area right now.
So does this game support terrain alteration? Like, can you dig trenches that'll lead water to make a moat and so on? Or can you just build on land and make walls and so on but water is as it is?

Re: Hazordhu II
No, it does not support terrain alteration like that. You can build bridges on water/lava (and build other stuff on those) but that's about it when it comes to terrain alteration. You can also dig in caves (and cause cave-ins), if that counts as a viable terrain alteration in your book.

Re: Hazordhu II
So... this is basically Dwarf Fortress... but Multiplayer? Sure, why not.

Re: Hazordhu II
From what I'm reading this is very different from dwarf fortress. And dwarf fortress is multiplayer.

Dwarf Fortress isn't Massively Multiplayer.

Re: Hazordhu II
You forgot that time we played DF with more than one player having access to the controls? It requires an external utility and setting up, but DF can be played with more than one player simultaneously. It just takes some work, and generally it's a hassle unless you take turns having the wheel due to how the game is meant to be played.

Re: Hazordhu II
That's not Massively Multiplayer though. Not even close.
