The Clan's Goals

Hey guys. So, I started to ponder today as the member count kept increasing and increasing. The clan only acts as an additional community to the existing AE community for now, but do we have goals for the clan for the near future? I feel like this needs to be addressed, not only to an administrator or a moderator, but to the whole community, since the community as a whole is what makes up this clan.

So maybe we can use this thread to discuss this sort of thing. What is everyone's goals? Would you like to have scheduled group farming sessions perhaps? Maybe an in-game clan meeting every now and then (this can be done in seperate rooms since we can't fit this many people in one room)?

Personally, I'd like it if we had a set room for farming and a set place. For example, Dwakel-6986. One person would post in the 'Partay-tay' thread that they're in the room so everyone knows, or they could simply PM a member in game and tell them.

Ive been thinking about the same thing. We should include an "Our Goal" section on the homepage. Just to inform newcomers about us.

Seriously though, we should work on this every now and then to keep ourselves goal-oriented or it'll just be another one of those 'clans' lol.

So meeting place seems like a good thing to do. So far, it's been Yulgar-1, but that can be hard to get into sometimes.

A meeting place does sound good. We could keep it at Yulgars but at a higher number. A number like '555777' or an easy number to remember would be nice.

We do not need goals. And it is impossible for us to be one of "those" clans. We are a guild. <_<

PK is right, this is a guild more than a clan. and if we did rooms, we'd need about 5 or 6 of them

Ah, I see what you guys mean. I imagined this as more of a clan, but a guild works too. As long as I get to play with some friends in-game, I'll be happy. lol!

PS. So we're kinda like the Yulgar Breakfast Club...except we don't eat breakfast.

Maybe we can have a certain group of ppl be like leaders of sort if we ever do seperate rooms to just have a presence of the guild/clan and motivate ppl to just enjoy themselves, discuss the meaning of life and whatnot lol

I sort of agree with Zombie. I think our goal should be to help people around the AQ World. Kindof like a group of student leaders in our own right. We should make ourselves known as players above the influence of the world. That is to say, no flaming, spamming, etc. Personally I would like to see our name famous, not only as a result of being some of the best players in the game, but also as a group of people who are helpful and kind to beginners, and everyone else for that matter.

I feel that each of us should make it a personal goal to hold him or herself to a higher standard.

Well, I think Zombie meant something else with his post Celest. But, I agree with both of you. We should mainly focus on representing this community well so we can attract more people.

The point's not to attract more people to the guild, Zed. The point is to be a step above the average player in terms of knowledge and virtues

We already are a step above the average player in terms of knowledge and virtues if you closely examine the members of this community. Now the goal is to teach everyone how to be the same way. We need to transfer our knowledge to these new players and a good way to do so is to get them to join in so they can start learning.

Considering the recent influx of members into our little guild here, it has come to my attention that we are in need of a mission statement. There are some good ideas in the Goals thread, but I want to bring the best of the best into one statement that explains what we're all about. Please provide us with your input. A sentance or two should be fine, remember this is a statement, not an essay.

I'm not going to attempt to put the statement together yet, but here are some things we should focus on doing:

Being respectful in game to any player
Always volunteering to help out new players when needed
Try not to constantly play on Sir Ver, get on the non-member servers once in a while because some of those players need the help
Try not to start any clutter or any form of flaming in game

PS. I merged both topics Celest so people don't have to put their thoughts in both threads.

Yeah,lol my friends make me go on non-member servers so i can help them! So now im used to it!!

I like the "Our Goal" thing. And I like the open meeting place if possible. Or better yet any "open" place that recruits new people. I know it may be risky and I may be totally wrong, but why not try once or twice? Remember you guys asked me to join this clan I did NOT ask you.:) So just tell me if I am offbase here ok.

As a personal clan goal, I'd like to hit 200.
But anyway,
we need a few meeting places (which will change often) and a post on the AQworlds forums about our clan. Anyone a mod on there?

heres my idea. its like zombies. We get lots of rooms, and put one of our sites mods in each room, and some of those rooms will be farming rooms for those that want to farm

I agreed with Zombie or Bertie's idea....... But we are still in the process of selecting a great team of mods in order to do that...... Things will be still growing and thank everyone for the patience...... :D :P
