RP Logic
I would like to bring to your attention, that sometimes in RP it's hard to make a post when something has gone weird. Like, Care Bears in a battle RP weird.
Sometimes, people don't think enough to exclude certain possibilities from being implemented. I'm not going to say anyone in particular, because there are fantastic writers out there who have potential to mess things up because of bad logic.
But I will present an old RP of mine - Devoid - that was 'killed' because people started posting whatever they wanted* to happen, and things started making less and less sense.
I propose that we add a "Logic" section to the ARP application. In which, users will be given a situation that they must respond to logically when applying.
*And whenever they wanted, a lot of people posted after I made an un-finished addition ended with "Not Finished." but that's beside the point.

Re: RP Logic
Hmm I see where you coming from Bram the only real way to enforce this would to make a post in the RP guide and hope people read it, I guess we could delete post if they are completely bogus, but not if its only a little sidetracked, maybe when you make a new rp make a paragragh explaining how you want people what you expect.
Re: RP Logic
id like to make it know to you though bram that your character in points of occurrence had 3/11s of his dna striped from him as he entered the realm the dark creatures are from but the effects of this left him full void being but in biochemistry this would only work is a 3/11th fraction of all dna in his body were removed and this would kill any biological creature for his rna sequences wouldn’t mach up with his dna and he could not repair damaged cells or send chemical messages to other cells in his body and all cells in him or her would die instantly (but i guess we can let it slide :P)

Re: RP Logic
I'm talking more about congruity between events. Half of the stuff in RP isn't possible.

Re: RP Logic
But it didn't make much sense when compared to the current storyline.

Re: RP Logic
It had facts that contradicted the events of the RP.

Re: RP Logic
rps never make sense, everyone has a story line totally dif then the rest i like to use the made up example, xushas always fighter her bro while in the next scene hunter and weena are learning how to be gods and the next one bram eats a chicken and the next one the chicken becomes the plot thickener
tr rp flow basically relies on the players tolerance for one another and eagerness to either show off there character and ideas and worlds or experience another’s characters and worlds, usually you have a dominant plotline created by a npc or event. Many probs with tr arp is the wantingness from everyone to be the hero or the main focus of the story. Usually after a while things will balance, if they don’t then a rp is usually abandoned (explaining all the empty untouched shells on the rp forums). you cant really expect ppl to want to step down and let another character lead but if everyone has there own stories going on and the bad guy is killed by each of them 5 dif ways in 27 dif places and times then its little....ridiculous
