I love steam for brining me and Portal together.

Portal for free was AMAZING.
Urm... IDK, portal I guess. Really all I got from steam.
The updates suck, because they happen during my portals.

-Portal for free. Also Team Fortress 2 for $10.
-Chatting to fellow players while playing games. In TF2 you are able to buy weapons and stuff instead of waiting to unlock them.
-When you don't go on Steam for ages, and when you finally do the update for each game you have takes forever because you haven't been updating it.

EPIC REVIVAL

Finally starting to get other things than Portal on Steam. Just bought the Humble Bundle (Paid 10 bucks, because any less and I'd die from Guilt) and I'm downloading the games now. Trine looks promising.

I'll be setting up a Paypal account soon so I can buy games freely, gunna get the Orange Box and then probably Portal 2. After that I'll either get Amnesia or save up for a new computer (assuming my parents don't upgrade soon, which I doubt they will but I can dream). Maybe Magika too, POSSIBLY Killing Floor after I read up about it more and decide whether or not I want it.

Steam ID is Timhortans, add me if you want.

Also TR should have a Steam Group. So we could all play together.

After I get the Orange Box I'll have an extra copy of Portal I'll be giving away, so if somebody doesn't have it I'll probably gift it to someone from TR or Geekrift.

Anybody have some recommendations for me? I can't decide on what games to get other than what I said above.

Good god, these steam sales are amazing. Got the Witcher 1 & 2, Lego Star Wars & Lego Batman and my friend bought me Duke Nukem Forever.

Duke Nukem Forever is a quite decent game if you don't look for a deep and/or meaningful storyline.

And I have no clue why you have a grudge against the Lego games.

Or gameplay, or developed maps. Or generally anything that makes a shooter good, be it from classic shooters or modern shooters, Forever takes the worst of both.

And I don't have a grudge against lego games. While they are sorta simplistic and I don't like that (then again, they ARE made for kids), but I like them because... well, it's lego; everything lego is awesome.

There are several types of shooters. For example, you can't compare Doom to Counter Strike. One requires lots of ammunition, the other tactics. Nevertheless both are good games. Just as Forever is, as long as you don't expect a realistic shooting simulation but are looking for a little trigger happy fun with lots of crude humor.

Also, Lego games are amazingly fun.
