Bands
So who's your favourite band(s)?
Most songs I like aren't from a band, but my top choice by far is Dragonforce. If you have not heard them before, you have not lived. As only a few examples of their songs, look up:
-Through the Fire and the Flames
-Valley of the Damned
-Heartbreak Armageddon
-Scars of Yesterday
-Where Dragons Rule
-Strike of the Ninja
-The Warrior Inside
They are the people who made heavy metal cool. What I also love is that their lyrics basically narrate an epic battle or journey or somethin'. They're awesome. :D

Re: Bands
As much as I could name all these cool bands everyone has heard of, I like local bands from my area. No one would have heard of them though c:

Re: Bands
I'm big into Casting Crowns, MercyMe, The Fray, Skillet, Linkin Park, Building 429, Jeremy Camp, Amy Grant, MIKESCHAIR, and a whole bunch of others like them. Yes, most/all of those are Christian bands to one extent or the other. (Linkin Park has one blatantly Christian song out there... the rest of those are uniformly religious groups.) Recently been discovering new bands--like Sanctus Real and Francesca Battistelli.
Also a fan of '80s bands, i.e. Cyndi Lauper and Genesis... Amy Grant fits into this category too.

Underoath :D Those guys are pro.
Extra bonus that they're a Christian band. I don't get in trouble for playing it loud :D
Re: Bands
I guess I my favourite bands at the moment would have to be:
Muse (going to their concert in December when they come to Australia :D), U2 (going to their concert too, its the day before the Muse one xD), ACDC, Motorhead, Metallica, System of a Down, Kiss, Queen, Jet, Paramore and a few bands in my local area.

Re: Bands
Not exactly new to me, but dayum. They're awesome.
They're called The Legacy, it's a local band. I know them (the drummer is married to my sister) and they seem to have gotten better as of last night.
Facebook link to one of their recorded songs.

Re: Bands
@Above: Nosir, never heard of either of them.
My favorites would be...
Tech N9ne for rap,
Aerosmith? for rock, not exactly sure on that one, I like a large variety of rock artists,
Black Eyed Peas for Hip Hop/Pop.
Will add to list as desired.
