Okay, the first half of this is to be a quote directly from Pere's original post, but I'm expanding after that, so bear with me now.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post here, but I guess I can.

Haven and Hearth - Fort Narwhal, with a TWIST (of lemon) and a KISS (of cherry)

Post by Peregrine on Sun Nov 28, 2010 9:57 pm
The name of the game? Haven and Hearth.

http://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/

It's a wilderness survival MMO where you can build a village with friends. Each person plays one character. It's a bit like Dwarf Fortress, only instead of me playing all the roles, you each play your own.

Which means EVEN MORE ADVENTUUUUURE.

After you've made your account and downloaded the game client, you'll need to make a new character. Here's a quick guide.

Click the "New Character" button in the bottom right hand corner.

You are now a floating ball of light.

DO NOT TOUCH THE LADDER OR TRAPDOOR.

The first thing you'll want to do is get a body. Talk to the guy in cyan overalls for one by right clicking on him (may work differently on a mac). You may have noticed that you are a male. If you're female or if you're a male who always wanted to look pretty, you need to click a second time to get a female avatar.

Next up, you'll need some clothes. Because I mean seriously, have some decency man. Right click on the chest and take everything in it. You'll now have pants, a shirt, shoes, and either a cap or a tophat depending on whether or not you're classy. In order to equip these new stylish accessories, click on the button with the icon of a sword, shield and purple cloth on the semi circle at the top of the pane at the bottom. Then drag and drop your clothing onto your character.

Now that you're clad, talk to the person with the German flag to choose your character's name. Type it in and click enter.

Finally, talk to the person with the magnifying glass. It'll prompt you to enter a hearth secret. The hearth secret you need to enter is this hearth secret: "NukianFallout". Do so and click enter. A fancy stairway down will enter. Right click on it and enter the world of HAVEN AND HEARTH.

upon entering the world, you will come out onto a big village, in which you can do nothing in until chamberino makes you a member, but cruise around and check out the facilities. go to one of the forests, and take brances from tress, do this by right clicking on trees, and clicking "take branches" this will give you some quick LP points, used to expand your skills to build more, and MORE! things. like a house. =D

in the bottom right hand corner, click on the 2nd box to the left, then the middle one, and build some wicker baskets, you now have a place to put your crap. now, I advise you build a hearth fire, to quickly respawn to your mini home, this will also be a permanent light source. there are now a number of things to build, I would build a leanto to put a bed in, you need a few sticks from trees and boughs from trees, collect them just as you would take sticks, but click take bough, if you wish to make a bed you should make the fir boughs one.

Heyo. Can you fix up the grammar in this a bit? There's also some typos around the place too.

Or they could just wait until they log on at the same time as Chamb, making this guide irrelevant.

However this would be a great guide for someone who didn't start near a settlement. Good job. *thumbsup*

Well anyway, I deem this guide useless because people can simply wait until Chamb or I are online.
