Diablo III Empty Diablo III

Post by DigDog Fri May 18, 2012 3:59 am

http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-reasons-diablo-iii-represents-gamings-annoying-future/

Yet another game that requires you to log in online even if you just want to play single player. And if their servers are down, too bad, you can't play your single player game that you paid $60 bucks for. Try again later.

It's funny to see that the release of Diablo 3 crashed the BattleNet servers though. You know what also runs on BattleNet? Yep, it's World of Warcraft. Millions of people couldn't play WoW because the release of Diablo 3 crashed the servers.

I looked forward to playing Diablo 3. I was waiting for it ever since they announced it, since I had so much fun with Diablo 2. But they won't get a single penny from me for this clustergoof.

They announced and expected the servers to go down.

But you're right, this online requirement that games are moving towards is so dumb.

It was supposed to mock players who keep getting error 37 I guess, I don't know. All I can get from that is the girl is hot and I don't care about anything else.

I'm disappointed with the wave of nerfs Diablo is already getting.

It's disappointed seeing the power of your character being cut, and the gear your farmed being now useless. Also, this is a bad omen of what the future holds for Diablo: lots of "balancing" so we can have fun "the right way".

This, coupled with servers problems and that weird hacking gossip going around really took some of the drive to play Diablo III.

And once again my decision to not buy and play games at launch day turned out to be a good one.

You know you can get an offline crack for it right?

If it makes you feel that much better you could pay for it and still use the crack.

Yes, applying a crack to get a feature that should have been in the actual game in the first place makes me feel much better, thank you.

It's pretty much exactly the same thing as modding.

Yeah, I get all my mods from shady sites that give me viruses and/or trojans when I click on the wrong thing.

If you use a shady torrent side you're doing it wrong.

It's only unclean if you have no clue what you're doing.

Also cracks are available other ways.

Please show me a non-shady torrent site? Even ones like TPB are dangerous if you're not careful.

TPB is one of the shadiest on the planet.

And there are several private trackers if you know where to look. BaconBits, Wigornot, etc.

Guys, using private trackers that you can only find and use if you know where to look is basically the same as modding. I don't see where your problem is.

Tim gets it. Modding involves acquiring the mod in the first place, the same way cracking involves downloading the crack.

No, downloading something involves getting something. For example a crack can be retrieved from a torrent site or other means. For example gaming forums, who had a ton of offline cracks when Ubisoft had their BS "Nobody can play games day".

Modding is actually putting the downloaded file to work in the game.
