Fact: The longest place name in an English-speaking country is Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapiki maungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu, a hill, 305 meters (1000ft) high, in the southern Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, at 85 letters which means "The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one." and there are two other forms of the name that are longer still.
