Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
To be fair, Bethesda is smart enough to not make a WoW clone. With hope, it will be designed like DCUO or something similar. From what I read from an article, it will be very different.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
Well they know when to take a hint. One of the good things Bethesda does is studying patterns in game design and adapting to them.
Don't get me wrong, I still think that TES should stay singleplayer primarily, but this has a potential of being awesome.

I don't know where this is coming from, they barely change gameplay game-to-game.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
Any subsequent MMO that doesn't become the best ever means the developer is idiotic, the formula exists already. Tera's combat, mix of SWTOR's story and Guild Wars 2 questing, and also Guild War 2's PVP.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
looks like Cial and I are the only ones with any optimism for the game. .____.
Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
While I'm looking forward to it, I'm not really sure Bethesda's going to keep interest in the game over time. I'd rather have a single player version as well

he makes some good points to consider, even if they turn out to not be accurate when more information is released

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
It's not even brand loyalty at this point, really. The Elder Scrolls is a great game series made by a company who generally does stuff right, so this game will probably be good too.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
More people buy the CoD games than the Elder Scrolls. The fact is that the majority cannot always be trusted, its all about personal opinion.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
Just because they make good singleplayer games doesn't mean that anything they touch turns to gold. I remain skeptic since making a good MMO is quite a different league.
Now excuse me while I go back to playing Skyrim.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
Why? They're pretty much the same game when it comes to gameplay mechanics. Don't like the story?Erik wrote:Onion Supreme wrote:Wait, I thought all of you like Elder Scrolls.....

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
No I can easily see why he doesn't like Skyrim. Perks and the return of radiant quests were both bad ideas. It was also the buggiest of all the elder scrolls on release.
Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
I kind of like the perks but I agree that the radiant quests are crap. And if you nowadays play a game at the release date then it's your own fault that you suffer from bugs. Everyone should know by now that basically every game is buggy at release date, especially open world games since it is impossible to properly test them unless you have a ridiculous amount of time and/or manpower.
All those things don't make it a bad game though. Most bugs are gone by now and you can easily spot and avoid radiant quests once you know they exist.
