XBox Kinect/ Project NATAL
Ok, so, this has pretty much been eating away at me, I REALLY want to have a discussion about this with some people.
For those of you who don't know what Kinect/ NATAL is, Kinect is Microsoft's answer to the Wii's and PS3's motion controllers. Basically, it is a camera that scans your body and transfers your movement to the movement of your character in-game.
I think, compared to the PS3's "Move" motion controller, it is helluva lot more, um... (what's the word...) ground breaking? than the Wii or Move? Its a completely different technology that has some great potential.
Although, the games they created for it don't seem all that great. With the exception of a Star Wars game, the rest is mostly exercising games, sports, and party games. Albeit, I think Kinect is pretty great and that I would buy it in the future when if I could get some money scrounged up. (With "Halo: Reach", and the new XBox 360 "Slim" being priorities beforehand.)
So, what are ya'll opinions on Kinect?

I think it sounds great, but it has a lot of room for error... I mean, just imagine the bugs. D:

Don't expect the first release to be perfect. There is bound to be some flaws with this project, but hopefully it will be updated later on

Personally, I'm not going to go for it. I play games to sit on my butt and relax.
Re: XBox Kinect/ Project NATAL
It has been tried before, and failed as well.

Re: XBox Kinect/ Project NATAL
I heard my friends talking about this today, had no idea what they meant until now.
Sounds interesting, but I don't think I'll go for it.

Re: XBox Kinect/ Project NATAL
Project NATAL has been a topic of conversation around me for quite some time now... that's what happens when you have two avid videogamers under one roof and three more in your carpool. I think it sounds cool, especially the idea of getting more into the games. But, of course, my only gaming systems are PC, DS, and Wii...

People were somewhat similar with their thoughts on... Vista. Enough said.

I will line up 100 average people, and 95 of them will tell you XP kicks Vista to the curb. But this if offtopic.Walt wrote:At least Vista is better than XP.
Motion sensing would be cool with gun games at least... But thats probably not going to happen for another

Kinect
Kinect talk goes here.
Speak on!
EDIT: Kinect will have a voice scan and an item scan. Imagine that you go down to the store, buy an physical (maybe mini) sword and then go home and scan it into your game! How awesomesauce is that?! You wont see yourself like you look IRL on the screen, you will be animated! (P.S. Kinect will have REAL games.)

Merged with other thread on Kinect.

Re: XBox Kinect/ Project NATAL
Don't get me wrong, Kinect looks good, and fancy. But, PS Move will have more success, because although it has a camera to see your movements, the physical item you hold gives the game a more real quality.
AND
PS Move has already announced SERIOUS titles:
Killzone 3
SOCOM 4
Resident evil!
EDIT: Yes. Eye toy was pre-DS/Wii.
