Sibling Rivalry

Chapter 1: Mutiny

I wake up to the sound of gunshots as usual. I open my eyes and look at the wooden ceiling high above my resting head. More gunshots. I notice something strange about these gunshots though. They sounder deeper, more powerful than usual. I grab my new Star Sword and flintlock pistol and bolt out of my room. Another group of pirates was invading our ship! I rush outside and immediately begin to fight enemy pirates. I run through them as easily as a hot knife slicing through butter. Most run away in fear of dying. But then I saw their captain. He was wielding not a flintlock pistol, but a hand cannon. He aims at me but I quickly get behind cover. I look up only to see him drop his firearm. I stand up and look him dead in the eye. He draws a new cutlass I have never seen. It was shiny and metallic and seemed to outshine the sun itself. I charge at him with my new star sword but he is much to fast on his feet. He swings at me and I happen to block his attack with my Star Sword. He shoves me away and I hear him say, "Toss him overboard." I recover from the block but before I knew it I was walking the plank. The captain now wielding my Star Sword chuckles. I eye all possiblities in hope of successful, safe escapes. But there was only one. I close my eyes and slowly open them. I sweep my leg under his feet and he drops the blade. I grab it with my hands behind my back and slice the ropes off my hands. I jumped into the water as soon as I hear the first gunshot. I come up and yell, "Mutiny!" but the ship had already left. I look up and knew a storm was coming.I start to swim in hopes of evading the coming storm. Soon the waves become more violent and before I knew it I was under the water. "My life is over," I thought to myself, "maybe I could have had something more to life....."

I wake up in a large house. I try to sit up but my body was completely sore. "Don't try to move," a woman's voice had said. I try to look around and see nothing. But I notice one thing in particular, I can't see my Star Sword. The woman comes around the red couch for which I am resting and says, "My name is Juliana, I found you half-dead on the side of the beach so I decided to take you in." "How did I--," I try to interrupt but she continues, "I gave you some medicine in your sleep." "You were passed out for quite some time, I must say I thought you were dead," she says. She then tells me I had been muttering of my half-brother and how I had lost him in the waters. She goes on to tell me where I am and the date. She stops. In her pause I ask, "Where is my Star Sword?" She hesitates. "I am looking at it for the moment," she says. "I must say, It is quite interesting." She walks away and goes into the kitchen and pours a blue liquid into a glass. "Drink this," she said, "it will help with the wounds." I soon doze off.

Chapter 2: Visitor

"Knock Knock Knock*

I am awakened by the sound of a large knocking on Juliana's front door. She then walks over to the door and opens it. "Oh, hello Eldred," she says, "I have been waiting for you for quite some time, please come in." He takes off his large brimmed hat and says, "Thank you Juliana." He steps in and looks at me very hard. "Is this him?" he asked. "Yes, it is," she replied. He comes in and sits down on the red and gold striped love seat and says, "How are you feeling?" "Fine," I say in no hesitation."That blue liquid was a healing potion only a select few can conjure up," he says, "Juliana is a master at creating potions." I agree and then ask why he is here. "I am here to train you," he states, "you are strong, but to get your pride back... you must become the strongest."

After a few hours of training we rest. I was beat. He looks at me and says, "Pathetic, if you want to earn your health and pride back you must go harder." I look at him straight in the eye and say, "Let's go." We get back up and head back into Juliana's backyard. We begin training and with a quick punch I am down. "Focus on the attacker at hand, block before you attack," he tells me. I go for a sweep and he jumps up and kicks me in the head. I get back up. He swings at my head, I remember "Focus on the attacker at hand, block before you attack," in my mind. I raise my forearm and block the attack. He stumbles off balance and I sieze the oppurtunity. I punch him in the jaw and he falls to the ground. I go to punch some more but before I could he swings his leg and takes me off my feet. He goes to jump on me but I raise my knees and kick him away. I get back up when he tries to kick me in the head. I catch the leg and bring him to the ground. He goes to flip me but before he could I held his arm down and put my forearm into his neck. I let off of him after a few seconds and he said, "Now, time to work on your weapon skills."

Chapter 3: Upgrade

After a a few hours of resting Juliana and Eldred took me down to the local blacksmith. Eldred knocks on the door and a man with a large coat on and his hands, covered with large, black gloves, says, "Hello, Eldred, Ms. Sundry." We greet him and he invites us in. "So, Geoffrey. How is the blacksmithing business?" Eldred says to him. "What do you want?" Geoffrey says in no hesitation. "We need a weapon," says Eldred. "Well, I fugured that much, but what do you want?" "Payton needs a new weapon... Something worthy of a pirate," says Eldred. "Well, I have been working on a new cutlass... But I will need some new supplies to finish the it, though." says Geoffrey. "Well, what do you need?" Payton interrupts. "I will need some more steel for the blade, and I will also need some cloth for the sheathe," Geoffrey states.

*In the Forest of Steel*

"So where exactly is this supply of metal?" Payton asks.
