Be Wary Of *Updated*
Some people go around and try to trade accounts with you, hack your accounts, and break the rules and guidelines that AE has set up for us to play by. You should be wary of these people. Here is a list of the people that some of The Regulars members have met that have tried to break those rules and guidelines.

Just post any names that you believe can harm any player in any way. Also, before posting the player's name, report the player in-game or on the AE forums.

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
I was in Yulgar 3 and some person named The Coon asked me if I wanted to extend my membership.
I said no but I didn't report because he left pretty much straight after so I couldn't do the whole clickly reporty. But if he does it just say no.
If I see him and he does it again I'll report him.

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
I'm theorizing about the origin of the "account trader". Presumably, the people that ask to trade accounts are in actuality the same hacker who, after "stealing" the accounts from unsuspecting (and probably pissed) players, uses their accounts as different disguises to repeat the process of asking for trades.
I'd imagine that the way this is done is as follows:
1. The Hacker asks to trade accounts until they find a willing person.
2. They receive a password and, in exchange, give the other person a faulty account password.
3. Quickly, they run to the "Manage Account" option (found on the AQWorlds Mainpage), which only asks for the account and password.
4. If successful in getting the correct password, they quickly change it to another password that only the Hacker knows.
5. Going even further than that, they will also change the email account that the AQWorlds Account is registered under.
6. Using the new account that was acquired, the Hacker repeats the process 1-5.
Although the success rate is slim (most people have pride in their accounts, so they will not trade), there is always one person who is new to the game and is approached with a character better than theirs. THIS IS the reason why we, at levels 15 and higher, are always approached by characters in lower levels for trades.
As a reminder from Artix Entertainment, NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD! Trading is a waste of time. If you don't know what you are doing, the Hacker WILL take advantage of you.
Furthermore, there are also ways to retrieve your account. Visit AQWorlds Account Recovery for more information. Remember to never erase your Account Information in you E-Mail, including Account Transactions, Transaction ID, AQW Notify E-Mail about any changes made, and any Money Transactions in connection to you AQW Account. For more help, perhaps write down the last time you successfully logged in, and who asked you for the trade (if there was a trade at all).
Remember, above all, DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! It's NOT worth your time to trade with someone, because it will only leave you with nothing.

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
This has been Hackers with Ragegamer, I hope you'll join us next week, when we learn to figure out where they live and how to get AE to bust them in the act.
Nice sense of logic though, another thing to look out for is people asking if they can extend your membership. Don't bother.

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
Well, This seemed to be the best place to reply to this:"Yes, speaking of their videos, their leader is Xyo."
Xyo...You needn't stay away from him. I just wanted to sort of say, yeah, I've met him without noticing.
Weird, huh? Either way, YOU NEEDN'T BE WARRY OF HIM AT ALL. (of course you know this...)
However,...Is he the type of person we musy stray away from...?

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
Great thread idea! BTW, everyone it's "WARY" Weary means tired, and Warry is when you like to make war, not love. :P ok, that was kinda lame.
Anyway, was offered a 5-year account upgrade tonight by warriorx50, but he wouldn't say how, who he would send me to to get it, or any other details.
My Scam-o-Tron DX7000 lit up like a Christmas tree in Times Square. Be Wherey of him. XD

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
I've met the same guy as well. He basically hunted me all across Sir Ver, trying to get a trade.
Again, there is no legitimate reason to interact with these buffoons. They belong in the Cheaters and Time Wasters Clan, lol.

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
Yeah, heres a new one, ttthana (I think, its something like that)
Asked me if I wanted to trade accounts, I said no, reported him, after that he asked if I could help recharge his membership. Again, report and I told him to leave me alone, then he sends me a friend request. In the end 2 reports and a ignore.

Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
Then that makes us as bad as the person.
Anyways, I've gotten so many trade requests that I had to explain to them what most members think. They actually went silent after that and tried to make excuses, but they couldn't, they were in too deep.
Like one person asked if I wanted a membership renewed more, I didn't need it for I have till November and I will have a lot of money by then. I said if he wants to renew membership, renew his own, he got annoyed and said he was already member, it was clear he wasn't, but ether insisted that he had till 2010, so I told he can ether extend some more or he can hold on to his money leave people alone. That shut him up, but ether way I couldn't remember his name or write it down in time because I was in b-19, the most active place in Saf (no freaking joke).

Refer to my earlier post...
Re: Be Wary Of *Updated*
Don't want to discourage people from playing AQW that would make not just the person/guild/community look bad but also the game itself. And the acc trader you speak of has been reported numerous times by many people I've asked around already.
