Its not as simple as that: the egg would have to be boiled VERY well and cooled rapidly in order to leave a space between the shell and the egg.
Basically: the egg is a cell, and it has a membrane that sticks it to the shell: it would take a rapid temperature change to eliminate that.

Stop being a smartass, I tried it myself and it worked. The yolk was still a bit liquid inside which should tell you about how long I boiled the egg. To cool it I put it into a bowl of cold water for about 30 seconds.

IAmA guy who just saw the final Harry Potter movie without reading/watching any Harry Potter material beforehand. Being morbidly confused, I made up an entire previous plot for the movie to make sense in my had.
