I mean't as in we need one sooner rather than later, as in yesterday rather than tomorrow. I was also hoping that someone could run one from their home computer allowing us to use the leaked 1.8 version.

or

Try them both and tell me which one works. I'm not on ATM but I'm keeping an eye on the server log so if someone joins I'll join too.

Without trying them out I can tell that they're probably not going to work because they're local network IP's, not outgoing ones from your internet provider.

Yeah it crashed when I started cooking meat in a furnace, so it's down for now. I'll put it up later.

Yeah you can't use furnaces in multiplayer according to the yogscast videos, but we just need to explore and find stuff

I basically need a server because my laptop sucks too hard for me to be able to explore too far with out running outta memory.

Dude all a server will do is make you run out of memory faster.

Also strongholds are impossible to find, they're generated once per map. And NPC villages are way too rare as well. Giant mushrooms don't occur naturally yet (as far as I know) but you can grow them with a mushroom and bonemeal.

The only thing thats cool to explore now is the new biomes and new seeds.

I think when Thoru gets his server up, we should try to do a survival level on the suavebaby seed. You spawn on a small island with one tree and try to survive.

Theres a dirt house and a farm that me and a friend from twitter built while we were testing lag, but I'm gunna start fresh on a new map once I make sure its not too laggy for you guys.

You were on the server for maybe a minute. You need to let it generate the world, at least. The other guy lagged way less after a fwe minutes.

Also we were boat racing which might have caused a lot of lag.
