Newbie RP'ing.
A quick glance around the RP forum told me that despite the fact that this forum has somewhat a larger crowd of people than other forums I frequently visit, the number of RP'ers can pretty much be counted with a single hand, maybe even in the unfortunate case that you had lost a few digits in an unfortunate pet-related incident.
Even then there are people that tend to mess around in the other areas of this forum, so I started to wonder if it was possibly to lure those people to this infrequently used area. And what better way for that than a newbie RP?
I have the unfortunate habit of thinking up more plots for RP's than I actually am able to finish, which somewhat results from the RP'ers posts becoming more and more infrequent, just check out CC's RP or the one I have here, both have barely started and we're looking at weeks of inactivity(not that I can blame anyone, considering how long it took for me to post in CC's RP despite being the one holding up the whole damn thing).
Of course this plan will fail utterly the moment the people who don't visit this place notice that a new thread was made and ignore it simply because they don't RP, but hey, maybe morbid curiosity will get them to check this out and MAYBE they're so morbidly curious that they'd even be willing to give it a shot.
So, if you are someone who hasn't RP'ed in their entire life, or just once or twice before giving up for whatever reason, how about we start up some light RP to get you started? It's not as nerdy as people make it out to be, I swear! RP'ing can be entertaining after all. Of course since I don't know the schedules of people around here I won't be holding people up to some posting deadlines, although I'm fairly sure everyone would appreciate if people would be able to make a few posts every now and then to keep things rolling.
The biggest question of course is what kind of a RP would be appropriate? Fantasy setting? Something a bit more modern like what CC has? Mix up genres? This is your chance to shine though, you newbies! A setting that doesn't require a lot of pre-existing knowledge would help me out though, I know a little about everything but not a lot of any particular subject, although it's not the most difficult thing to whip up a fantasy setting world and give it some flesh around the bones if you know what I mean.
So let's get some discussion going on, maybe. What would it take to get you to RP?

Remind me to never let you into any of my RP's, ever.
But fine, next time I make a post, I'll make it into a huge acronym, would that help you read it?

Re: Newbie RP'ing.
I understand this much: If you outgrew RP'ing, then your character(and probably the characters in the RP's you were a part of) were vampirewerewolfdragons that were 100000000000000000000000000000 years old. Also gods.
And before anyone asks, that was a real character. It's burnt into my mind. The "100000000000000000000000000000 years old" part was used in a post as well.

Re: Newbie RP'ing.
That doesn't make any sense at all though? I just don't find it as fun anymore. One time I rped a blind mage that was fun.

Re: Newbie RP'ing.
If Pere RP's as well as he writes, I don't want anything to do with a meta-RP about Pere RP'ing.
