'Cial, your avvie could use a few improvements... the text is awfully dark, and the way it blends in with the background makes it hard to read. Some way of delineating it might be helpful. If you're using Paint, may I recommend my old trick of outlining the individual letters in a different color?

And, Kao, that looks very cool. Did you just pick sixty-four for hexadecimal reasons, or just because it was a convenient number, or what?

Lol, that's pretty awesome.

Now for an attempt at constructive criticism...

The belt arrangement in the middle and the green bits around it look a bit strange with the black-and-white of the rest of the outfit, and the arrangement of shadows and light is a bit too delineated. Maybe get rid of the black lines around all the shadowy and highlighted patches, so it blends more?

Incredible Kao, just incredible, I just want to point out that on three of the first 4 you use the broken edge a little too much, and how do you hold the one on the far left, otherwise they are great! Also try and make the handles more fantasy like, cysero gave me that tip.

The first one on the left, I know I suck at handles (I really need to work on them) the Handle is the black bit, and there is no blade in that section (Maybe If I coloured it it would look better)

And as I said above, I really suck at handles/hilts :/ so i really need to work on those... and btw, how could you make Handles more Fantasy-like?

Don't lay off the broken edge, actually! If you keep experimenting with it, you will eventually come up with something that even you are amazed at, and then you can use it less, if that makes any sense.

All of those designs have great potential. I think your ideas are AEF worthy, just keep working with all of that artistic talent that you possess until you find that winning design that we all strive for. I'm sure you can do it. ;D

Also, your hilts aren't bad. You have the basic idea of how to make a 'fantasy hilt,' the only thing I see missing are the more defining details. Maybe you could draw the weapons on a larger scale, that way you can really focus on all the little details that are lost in a small sketch.

You never cease to amaze me, Kao. Great work. ^^

With the broken edge, I seem to love it, but I really shouldn't rush it as much as I do, as I said, maybe a larger scale will help with this also

I agree with Char, keep doing the jagged broken edges, Kao. It's a style you are developing and in no way should you curb it.

Somehow, I wound up with a sword floating around in my head. Its name is "Atonement," and it belongs to Juliana Sundry the Third, also known as my AQW character. So I tried my hand at drawing it... Here is the result.

@Kao it was just my opinion on your weapons, and I was told to search 'fantasy weapons' on google (you can change weapons to fit your need) and study the handles.
