When do we go online? I'm ready to halve my height and work until I drop! Well... When I find a pickaxe.

Re: Fort Regulars II: Electric Boogaloo
Time to get this show on the road.
Introduction
Some say each of the world's civilizations: the humans, the elves, the goblins, the kobolds, and the dwarves each had their fair share of power. But what each race didn't have was a emperor named Vamparagon. It was in this regard that the dwarves excelled.
In the year of 2, Emperor Vamparagon sent out a group of seven of his people to a shrubland. Their goal was to construct a mountainhome worthy of his living in. Could they do it? Chances were against them, but nevertheless they decided that the only thing to do was to STRIKE THE EARTH.
The group called themselves the Smiles of Goats (but would later become known as The Regulars, and then eventually TR after historians started getting extremely lazy). It was in a temperate shrubland where the first stones of what was to be the greatest fortress of all time were about to be set. Pregnant Lobsters, the Fortress of Grapes.
The group members were:
Alderos, the archer.
Cial, the chief medical dwarf, surgeon, and guy with a chip on his shoulder.
Crystal Lion, the swordswoman.
Juliana, the herbalist.
Nagi, the expedition leader and liar.
Peregrine, the engraver, part time mason, and other guy with a chip on his shoulder.
Xusha, the diamond bringer.
What you are about to read are the journal entries recorded by Peregrine, the engraver (and part time mason) of Pregnant Lobsters, the Fortress of Grapes. The journal depicts all of the important events that had ever happened in Pregnant Lobsters the Fortress of Grapes, including sketches of the fort.

You're just asking for it now.this can't be that bad

We arrived at the spot Vamparagon outlined for us today. It's just a flat glassland, but it has a brook. We wont be able to rely on any natural defenses, though.
Xusha decided that the best possible idea was to dig straight down. I proposed that we should build shelter instead, to which Nagi replied:
"Sure Peregrine. We'll do your thing."
Turns out she lied. Xusha was digging straight down in an instant.
Later that day, Xusha gave a shout. Apparently she had hit something.
Something big: https://2img.net/h/oi43.tinypic.com/10h818g.jpg
Nagi sent Juliana, Crystal Lion and myself down to check it out. Juliana found some shrubs that apparently were edible. She was collecting some samples when Crystal showed up with a spider web on her sword. Juliana didn't pick up on it immediately, but as someone who had engraved walls in the depths of the mountainhomes, I did.
Giant cave spider web. The sort of web that was made by spiders who were known to eat dwarves whole.
We sealed the cavern off for now. Hopefully nothing got out.

Howls and a rotten stench have been coming up from the cavern. According to Crystal, there's a troll down there. Just great. I sure hope Vamparagon doesn't show up and tell us to go down there because if he does then he's got another thing coming.
We've started work on some living accommodations in the meantime. Xusha's dug out some bedrooms for us and is currently at work on a dining room. I've been hard at work getting the stone in the bedrooms smoothed into a proper floor as well as getting some furniture made. We didn't have a carpenter, so Nagi told Alderos to get to work making us some beds. He's none too happy about the arrangement.

Juliana came running into camp today. Apparently, she had been attacked. No investigation was necessary, for at that moment, the camp came under attack by rhesus macaques who were hoping to steal our supplies. Needless to say, we were victorious. Crystal and Alderos are at work disposing of the last of them as we speak.
During the heat of battle, two more dwarves showed up. Apparently Vamp had sent them both to help us. One is an extremely skilled metalcrafter, the other, a talented "burninator" named Chamberino.
While I welcome the help, Xusha and I can barely keep up with the demand for shelter anymore. : (

Upon space, I would like to be Glassmaker, like I was in the original fort. I think you should keep both of them running :P
Btw, just Erik for the name.

I'm starting to see a trend with these migrants. I mean, they show up, and then rhesus macaques show up as well. I've only met two of them, mrsebi and Zeo, but I hear the other two are a soap maker and a lye maker.
Xusha and I started on rooms for the these migrants before they came but we're one short. : (

My epic digging skills apparently almost got us killed. Now that's good mining! I wonder when I'll give out and randomly die.

Vamparagon sent a supply caravan to aid us today. At first, I thought that was pretty swell of him. When they got there though, they told us this:
"You gotta pay for this stuff."
Apparently Vamp expects us to have a booming economy by now.
Since we could really use the supplies, we devised a devious plan. We had Nagi lie to them that Xusha had cholera, typhoid, scurvy, tetanus, influenza, dysentery, measles and scarlet fever. We got lucky, and they all went running. They left their stuff here too. Oh yeah.
