Not to be confused with 'Battle of the Genres' topic. This is for all those who play a musical instrument (and want to show them off), need musical help or just want to talk about a song they've written/learnt.

This is one of my guitars, a Marlin SG electric guitar. It's in need of new strings, but it works. I'm trying to get Power Chords under wraps, but muting most of the strings is freaking hard :x Any tips?

I also have a fender squire and a terrible SX acoustic.

Well im am a trumpet player, i own a standard jupiter trumpet, its my second one because the repairsmen accidentaly killed my first baby. I also own a guitar, but it isnt anything fancy because i am just learning. I also have recently acquired a 50-60 year old flute that was my grandma's, it is an Armstrong. So yeah, thats me

I used 2 rental trombones while in high school (I still have the spare mouthpiece for the first one). But I own a Yamaha keyboard, a PSR-78, which was a birthday present 13 years ago.

I have a Geimenhardt flute that used to be my mother's, a baby grand piano that we got from my grandparents, and a pink plastic recorder that I got for school in fifth grade. I luvz 'em all. I love you

I play the guitar and bass but I can also play the Cello and the drums a little bit.

Music Talkings Empty New guitar.

Okay, so I need a place to gloat where people will notice, TR immediately sprung to my mind.

So, I'm going to my dads house, I haven't been there for1-2 months, and I was really happy to see him again, he told me he had a 'surprise' for me, and boy, I was definitely surprised.
Turns out he had came across an aria pro II xr series electric guitar, it needs new strings and the whammy bar needs to be looked at, but its so awesome. its a glossy red replica of a charvel/jackson, and it is almost exactly the same as his guitar but red. I have no pictures yet, but if you'd like to discuss the guitar, your guitars, surprise guitars or if you have any experience with this guitar, POST!
