SERIOUS COOKING QUESTION Empty SERIOUS COOKING QUESTION

Post by Tim Hortans Sun Jan 02, 2011 5:54 am

I am making food. I am going to put chicken strips (Preheat to 450F, 15 - 20 minutes) And fries (Preheat to 450F, 15- 20 minutes).

Will cooking them together, at the same time, affect the time needed to be cooked?

No.

Although it's a little more complicated.

In a regular oven, since it's direct heat, you can cook as many things as you want and you don't need to add time to them. In a microwave oven, you have to add time if you're cooking multiple things at once.

^ This is true, though you should be able to gauge the strength of your microwave oven after a few uses, and know if things will need to be cooked longer or less long. Its all a matter of power.

Gauge the strength of your Microwave?

You've been reading too many bad Sci-Fi Novels.
