Re: Assassin's Creed 3
I want it but I;m kinda pissed at Ubisoft for calling its entire PC Gaming community "Pirates"
Either way, should be amazing!

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
Let me sum up why this will be the best game ever:
>Native American Assassin (Ten bucks says his name has something to do with birds, too)
>Colonial America (Switch the game mechanic to a more fresh assassination style, because instead of bustling metropolises with large buildings to climb on, it will probably be more stealth oriented in order to kill your target)
>Tomahawks
>Fighting Templars on both sides of the war. (Instead of explaining a battle by just injecting Templars on one side and Assassins on the other, being a Native American Assassin in a world where we already know George Washington was a Templar means you'll probably have targets on both sides to take out)
>It's an American Revolution game (Concept nobody's really done before, and knowing that it's Ubisoft MONTREAL we'll probably see Canada. My money is, after the Native American Assassin brotherhood sees the Templars in control of the colony, and already being attacked for their land, they'll escape to Canada and in a later game be in Quebec)
There's tons more reasons too.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
Wait... when did thoru get a creeper pet?
And I cant wait.. except for the fact that I'm going to completely destroy the ubisoft logo.

Tomahawks are amazing
Thoru, you are an idiot. Canada IS a country, with a very rich historical background. If there was ever a logical place for AC to go after the American Revolution, it would be Quebec. It's practically MADE for it. Climbing the Chateau Frontenac, running around the walls, diving off the cliff down to Bas Ville, it's perfect. Maybe DLC worthy.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
I'm done arguing about Canada
Anyways, I'm looking forward tyo this game and plan to preorder it when it comes out. I hope it will be as good as AC2, but without all those damned time trials, I hated that part

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
Actually, I could have pointed out some inaccuracies in your argument, but I'd rather TALK about the damn game. You know, stay on topic?
Anyways, I wonder if the hidden blade will be replaced entirely by the tomahawk or if they will coexist?

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
Hidden Blades are still in, I believe, but Tomahawks will be like throwing knives/daggers and even though you can use guns, you will have a bow and arrow.
Quebec would be the best city if any for a DLC though.
>Only walled city in North America
>Ubisoft Montreal is IN Montreal (therefore Canadian) and never forgets it's French roots.
>Ubisoft does walled cities the way Bethesda does RPGs

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
Walls? erm... What?
French Canada is probably the worst part of Canada.
Oblivion=Fallout 3=Fallout New Vegas=Skyrim. I'd prefer something fresh.
Also, Canada is barely a country, until it actually pumps out some real troops and joins the Europeans, it will never be taken seriously. While I respect the fact that they did get involved in WWII even when they were never directly attacked, they didn't do all that much.
I hope they have large enough buildings for you to actually play the game.

Thoru seems to love doing that. Throw some false statement out there, get proven wrong, "I'm done arguing"Cial wrote:Thoru wrote:I'm done arguing about Canada

< "At least 10 players, a third of them from TR, beg to differ"

Anyway, this game sounds very promising. There are way too little games who have the native American scenario, and even less who manage to pull it off in a good way. I hope this game manages to do it well.

Canadian troops HAVE joined the Europeans. They were one of the key fighters in World War 1.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
And I have successfully derailed this entire thread. Sorry about that
I really want that coat that is shown, it's a cross between a trench coat and the assassin's uniform

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
I really like the Native American influence in the main character's design.
Other than that, I don't care for the game.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
I dunno, it should be fascinating to see where they take. Are they just gonna brush over it, or are they gonna put tribes or something similar in?
Re: Assassin's Creed 3
I don't know if its just me, but he looks more colonial than native american...
Re: Assassin's Creed 3
It's just you
But he does look a little colonial, but I think they're trying to incorporated the two into one

As a British colony, of course they sent in some troops. 628,000 isn't that many though.

No, not even as a British colony. Canada was already it's own country in 1919.

Calling out Thoru for putting out bad information? Jeeze. It might just be me but I think 1918 is prior to 1919.

Fine, I'll admit, I was wrong about the year. Canada was still a country about 50 years before World War I though.
