Re: Get Your Game On! (Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Online Game)
So I was trying to make a deck for this last night, but Internet connection issues made me timeout and probably lose all of my unsaved deck info. Not that it matters that much.
So what are the basic rules for this CG? Number of cards in a deck? Do I generate points for WHATEVER automatically or do I need to get some point cards in the deck as well?

40 - 60 cards is mandatory, try to keep it 40 or 41 for best chances at drawing key cards. I don't know what you mean about the points thing. Here's some links i stole from /vg/

Since Tim didn't know what you meant by this: The points are called life points. Both players start with 8000 and the goal is to deplete the other person's to 0.Leb wrote:Do I generate points for WHATEVER automatically or do I need to get some point cards in the deck as well?
In addition to what Tim provided this might also be helpful if you're like me and you need a video aid to learn something:

Re: Get Your Game On! (Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Online Game)
OH you were talking about Life Points.
By the way, duelingnetwork has no automatic functions like depleating life points if you're attacked. You have to manually subtract them. If you're not good at math, get a calculator or something to make that go by smoother.

Calculator, what. If you're not able to do basic addition and subtraction then you have bigger problems and shouldn't be playing this anyway.

It speeds things up. You dont always need it but it helps sometimes if you have a lot of burn damage piling up or something.

I prefer MTG to Yugioh
It's simpler, has been around longer and has a massive playerbase.
And there's an application for dueling like this one:

I don't understand why you think that's an insult.

"Magic the Gathering"
+50% Less 'MATH'
+More widely played
-Rules change per new release
-This item is viable to turn into a squirrel
"Yu-Gi-Oh!"
+'You just activated my TRAP CARD'
+Deck strategies are easier to understand
-There was an Anime
-There was an Anime
-The Anime had bikes
(I play both, btw)

I agree with this. Also the rule changes don't affect the game too much. You get the hang of it quickly.
