AA just takes alot of talent and activeness on the art forum.
Love the gallery, amazing pencil sketches. You could work on the faces and eyes a little bit though. Congrats on winning the art contest, by the way!

Sorry for the late introduction, I've been real busy but I'm a fellow gallery owner, and I'm here to say......

to the gallery! XD (a little late, I know)

I to am searching for the elusive advanced artist's tag, and I'm sure you will get it in no time at all if you keep aggressively adding quality works as you have done so far. And now a word from our cc sponsor.

Lets see...well to start off, you have an amazing hand at this. Beautiful faces, forms and weapons, plus you're shading techniques are very refined, and I can see almost no eraser marks, which is huge deal, trust me. I do have some suggestions though. Try to do all you're pieces on drawing paper or at least computer paper, its better for shading and and it doesn't have those little lines going across it. I know inspiration can strike at the worst of times, so I keep a small sketch book with me 80 percent of the time, encase I want write a story or draw a piece. The lines don't really take away from anything per say, but it looks more professional for portfolios and such. Second, take you're time with all you works. The code guess faces have the most amazing shading, and little details like the cape lines and the shadows across the face reveal the huge amount of time and effort you really put into it. Really striving for that last tiny detail like a single perfect ear drop or a few age lines can really complete a piece.

Anyways, hope this helped, and you are awesome, great detail, great shading, great shadows, great art. Good luck dude.

Hey there, I was wondering when I was going to hear from you!

Thank you so much, all of this positive feedback is very motivating and inspiring. And I completely agree with your CC. I do need to do it on computer/artist paper. My excuse for the Hydra is that I learned about the contest two days before I had to leave for a weekend trip so I would be out of town the day the contest ended and I wouldn't have access to the internet or a scanner. Those two days were two insanely busy days, so I had to complete that Hydra in school whenever I got a free minute, making me spend a total of about an hour and a half on it, which is a very short amount of time for what I usually take to draw something with that amount of detail. Turned out that it was good enough, but I'm still quite annoyed that I had to turn it in on Notebook paper. But yes, I do own a Blackbook and I am going to try and find my ancient sketchbook and use them more often.

According to the rules, the artist tag should be given if you have a gallery and are approved on the approval thread. I'm not entirely sure why you don't have one yet, the only reason I can think of is that the rules changed.. Might want top pm Flaw about it, and ask what the new requirements are for a regular artists, if they did change at all.

Well Flaw, SpecialX isn't an Advanced Artist and he has the Artist Rank. I think Vamp might've just forgotten. I shall ask and/or remind him.

Like I said, not to be confused with blue name, Blue name advanced artist and normal name advanced artist are 2 different things. I believe these were said somewhere in one of the art places in this Gallery section.
