And heres the thing, you can't deny that while FPS games can be fun, they aren't mentally stimulating; ok?
With all the games out there, both physical and digital, RTS games, quiz games, RPGs, Sports Games, D&D, MMOs, Chess, etc. FPS games certainly wouldn't be anywhere near the top on a scale of intelligence required for said games.

Do I think that most FPS games aren't really fun? Yeah, I kinda do. THen again most of my experience is with MW, and that isn't exactly the pinnacle of gaming creation.

Do I think that the FPS games as a whole aren't mentally challenging though, yeah: they aren't. It's the reason that if you turn on the sound on a multiplayer game, you will usually hear a twelve year old cussing like crazy in a stupid attempt to sound ''cool'', thats the crowd FPS games attract. You won't exactly struggle to solve any problems in FPS games, its more or less shoot or get shot.

I'm not calling you guys idiots for playing FPS games, (although I do for other reasons), the term idiot game ain't even mine, my dad used it a few times and I thought it fit: if it bugs you guys that much, I'll go ahead and refer to them as ''relaxing games'' from now on.

Still though, FPS games are NOT Stratego.

If you had said "online Modern Warfare / Call of Duty / Battlefield is an idiot game" I would have wholeheartedly agreed with you. But instead you spewed uninformed crap about a whole game genre.
