Re: Terraria Thread 2
Found a hilarious bug:
1. Put down two active stone blocks
2. Put chest on active stone blocks
3. Put something into chest
4. Put wires and lever to blocks and activate lever
Whoops. Now it keeps spitting chests every time you push the lever.

Hey, that sounds a lot like that Minecraft bug that made an infinite cannon possible. Wonder if both games made the same mistake to make it possible...

Re: Terraria Thread 2
I don't know about Minecraft but this bug happens because you're normally not able to remove the blocks below filled treasure chests.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
I don't know about cobwebs but the sand will just not fall if it is below a treasure chest.

I think he means can you use the same bug to dupe cobwebs and sand.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
How would that make sense? If you do the same trick to sand and cobwebs they would just fall downwards and that's it.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
I meant, what if you have some cobwebs holding up sand, then have a chest on top? But yeah, Dig answered the question.

So, I almost have all the stuff to make the Hallowed Saw/Drill thing. Just need fear souls and the Adantite drill and saw. I have a fair ammount of adamantite already.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
I like it because it uses gel as ammo. This type of ammo replenishes itself without noticing because there are slime monsters in almost every biome.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
And slime farms are easy to make.
In terms of Flamthrower vs. Excalibur, I'm gonna have to go for the flamethrower, fought a lot of excalibur wielding guys, I always win by staying far enough away from them. It's the best weapon.

There is no "best" weapon. Plus I'm talking about PvE here, not PvP.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
It's still a very good weapon, excellent for worm type monsters, as well for any open spaces.
Granted, the low knockback makes it less than optimal for enclosed spaces and tunnels.
But still excellent for the majority of the game.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
I have to disagree with that, knowing that a lot of the game happens underground in enclosed spaces and tunnels. Plus the fact that it is an endgame weapon hardly makes it suitable for the majority of the game. Since you don't have it for the majority of the game.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
Majority of the game = I mean like majority of the game WORLD.
The majority of the places you access while you have it.
And people sorta stop spelunking in endgame, more bosses and building.

Re: Terraria Thread 2
Whatever you say.
Anyway, I'm using TShock on our server now. Which means we have some more control over the server and the game from now on, i.e. calling bosses, setting blood moons, acquiring building material, etc. Throw me a message on Steam if you need admin help with anything.
