So yeah.

I bet you're all like "WHERE'S THE UPDATE."

Recently, a new version of dwarf fortress was released. I've been trying it out for the last few weeks. Since this fort is on the old version, I haven't been playing it.
So yeah. That's where the update is.

ANYWAY, HAVE YOUR SMELLY UPDATE.

Journal of Peregrine, 10th Slate, 265, Mid-Spring.

Work on Alderos's memorial is coming along on schedule. We've decided to make a solid gold well in his memory. The only thing left to do is the plumbing, as in the part where we fill it with water. Hopefully in the process we do not also fill it with man-eating fish from the river. That is, assuming this plumbing actually works.

Anyway, we had some more migrants show up. Usually I don't bother to write about new arrivals but recently we had some real oddballs show up.

Fort Regulars - Page 7 Sdz8ya

Odder than Cial and that Bram guy even. What does Bram even do anyway? I mean seriously, "Goat Farmer"? Does he farm goats? I thought goats reproduced sexually. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe they DO come from seeds.

Anyway, so first the Morul guy shows up. Then he's all:

"Yeah so I'm in charge. Also this isn't an outpost anymore. It's a barony."

Vamp immediately objected with his crossbow.

"It's a fortress and I'm the boss." Vamp said to the dork.

Then the man handed Vamp some papers bearing the seal of the king and Vamp stormed out in a rage. We can only assume he's been replaced.

In the meantime, our production priorities seem to have shifted. Cial asked our new baron if he could turn Alderos's memorial into a comedy club.

Apparently the baron said yes.

I wonder how all of this will alter our plans to murder Erik's wife.

Nah, he didn't leave. He's just not in charge anymore.

That is what the fort is named.

Re-stating because I realized no one would really notice it in my earlier post.

Err... Wait... Is this like an RP, or is there an actual game somewhere to play and post events in the game here? .-.

Dwarf Fortress is an actual game, but Pere has named his dwarves after TR members and is posting their statuses here.

Hm, Xusha and Cial don't seem all too compatible. Especially how Xusha is the guy and Cial is the girl O.o

Also, to add to that Bram, Peregrine gets entries from the game, but the magic really happens when he comes up with his own little add-ons to the story. A few pages back you can see what he would add and not add.
