Hopefully we'll get some more variation to changeling shenanigans. The other skills are sort of unneeded or not good enough, because Mute only works if you manage to wrestle down your target before they run away, and Blind lets 'em shout "THIS GUY JUST STINGED ME AND I CAN'T SEE" over the radio.

I think Goonstation lings have some speshul stuff, like they can burn genomes to take on the form of a horrible monstrosity for melee shenanigans.

Yeah, it's like going into mech form. You move slowly, but can one hit anyone who isn't too heavily armored.

THIS WEEKEND:

The "Keep the station alive" event! What does that mean? We're gonna start this weekend's SS13 will start with an extended round. Yes sir, there won't be traitors, changelings or whatever that usually end rounds 10-120 minutes into the round. This weekend's event, for once, will be keeping the station going as long as possible. Random event hilarity is still there, blobs and so on. This should allow people who play some jobs that take longer amounts of time than others to see results(researchers for example), as well as engineers to do something more than set up the solars and then just walk around until they get killed or get armed and have to kill something.

So be there and be a productive member of the obviously spess communist station!

Also I had an idea for a new traitor weapon: Hidden Energy Blade.

Would cost about 6 telecrystals to buy, and would appear as a pair of black gloves with a gauntlet. The blade itself would activate by right clicking your gloves and selecting "Extend blade". Once extended, the blade will one-hit kill unarmored opponents and disarm armed ones while taking a portion of health out. If a kill has been made with the weapon, it's wearer will immediately whisper "Requiescat en pace." This weapon also automatically sets you to "Arrest" for five minutes so you have to escape fast before security shows up. This also makes it necessary for daring escapes to be made until your detection is gone. Mind you, if a guard sees you while you're wanted and finds out your name, you have to either assassinate him or always be on the run. It could really make "assassination" objectives more fun. Whaddya think?

That sounds like the worst weapon idea ever. There isn't any insta-kill weapon in the game and it's a good thing. There are things that WILL kill you once you're hit with 'em, cyanide pills or lethal injection syringes, but it takes time for the assailant to get those in. Also, what are the odds of managing to right-clicking the glove in time for the opponent not moving away? Also, it'd obviously be pretty visible how a frigging blade extends from your gloves, anyone with half a brain would then run away screaming "HE HAS *TRAITOR ITEM* HELP", and no one lets people get to 1 tile from 'em.

Not even the changeling Death Sting is this stupid.

EDIT: Also, not all people use the same glove-type. Some jobs don't even have gloves of their own that they can equip. No one really pays attention to what gloves people wear though, unless the clown has insulated gloves or so on which will raise questions.

Also the arrest thing only applies to Beepsky in a meaningful manner, otherwise it'd require for a sec guy to check manually for arrest orders at the right time, which I doubt would ever happen on our station. Too few people to sit back and relax by the monitors, you know?

I had to leave because of a family emergency and apparently you people have the attention span of a lizard, which means that you get bored in 5 minutes when there's no axe murderer chasing you.

You are the reason we can't have nice things.
