Both sides are at fault there. Sure, killing him was way overkill but he should have tried to tell them why he was in security in the first place instead of just walking back in.
Also what Leb said, Sebi isn't exactly someone who should point fingers.

I did try to explain it, I even got another friendly guy who was working sec to help explain as well as a fellow lawyer (they were both killed).
The response was along the lines of ''I DON'T loving CARE YOU DUMBASS LAWYER''.

Re: Space Station 13
Playing Engineer.
Round is going well.
Alien comes in.
Try to fight it off, it knocks me down and manages to strip my radio AFTER I call on both channels for help about a billion times.
Sec comes in, kills alien with hulk powers.
Then kills ME and loots my rig suit, gloves, and ID: leaving my body there.
Not even a traitor, what a douche.
Plenty of reasons to kill a guy, anger, dickishness, boredom.
But murdering an engineer just to grab his rig suit in the last three min before a shuttle is just low, really really low.
Satisfying to see him chopped to death by an angry katana wielding cultist.
Guess I shouldn't talk though, earlier when I came in, I found a doctor who had been looting everything (seriously, he had three pairs of gloves on him, two toolbelts, a welder, and the rig suit) but DCed or something, he was braindead.
So I stripped him, welded him in a locker, and tossed it into the singularity.
Stealing from me is one thing, but if you don't do it well, loving die.

Re: Space Station 13
Dear god this security is so incompetent... I mean, fine: an assistant with stun gloves managing to steal an ID and wreck havoc is one thing, but losing to the same assistant twice because he didn't know he had a gun?
Or handcuffing said assistant, but then waiting for us to arrive without holding onto said guy or even taking his poo poo away.
That guy singlehandedly killed all of sec, especially once I managed to get to the assistant, found out he was a rev head, killed him, started to move towards spacing him. And the guy just ran off without staying there to keep backup, leading to me being murdered by three revs with laser guns.

Re: Space Station 13
To make you feel better, have a story of how I screwed over an admin once on vgstation. Just your normal round, being an assistant, ALIUMS! A hunter runs down the central hallway, downs our mime and HoS, to which I reply by pushing it down like a BOSS. Then I remembered the energy sword the HoS had gotten from a traitor who got caught or something, went to get it and then, the admin alium gibbed themselves.
I recall they made themselves a new alium on that round too. They just couldn't handle an assistant handing them their xeno ass on a platter.

Re: Space Station 13
I've started to operate on a karmic system, for each bad thing I do, I have to do something good, and vica versa.
Example: I helped a discriminated lawyer get a pair of shades and a sec headset.
I then allowed myself to (after arresting a particularly annoying clown) to space his emergency box which happened to have his horn, ID, and PDA.

Re: Space Station 13
That's just douchey. I mean, yeah, sure, helping the lawyer was good, because people should do that anyway, but ruining another player's round for being annoying (and that's pretty much all clowns do) isn't the equal and opposite action to take if you are trying to be karmaic.

Re: Space Station 13
So, Sebi, is there a reason you're not playing on my server with us when I announce that it is up?
It's because we don't let you grief, isn't it?
I bet it's because we don't let you grief.

That's usually only Cial and/or Tom and they aren't playing recently for some reason.

Re: Space Station 13
Telling Sebi to not beat people to death with a stun baton or telling him to not weld them into lockers when he's a non-traitor detective is a bad thing now?

I've cooled down about Sebi bashing. It's mostly Tom.

I bet it's because we don't let you grief.
And then there's the time last time Sebi played where you sided with Tom in putting him down for his personal problems. And these are just a few readily available examples in the last few days.
Re: Space Station 13
That wasn't putting him down for his personal problems, that was expressing my hate for attention whoring. He said something along having problems and then when we asked what's wrong he said it's nothing and refused to elaborate. I'm sorry but I have a low tolerance for crap like that. If you want to share your problems then you can't just go ''oh I don't want to talk about it, it's nothing'' after you hinted on something.
That has nothing to do with Sebi, if Ieb pulled something like this he would get the same reaction from me.
Not to mention that SS13 OOC is maybe not the best place to share your love life problems and issues.

Re: Space Station 13
Wasn't quite like that?
More like ''bummed out/sorta depressed because I broke up with Juli'' I explained it enough, what else needed explaining?

Re: Space Station 13
Whatever the exact details were, my point still stands: This wasn't personally against Sebi, it was about something he said. If someone else had said the same thing they would have gotten the same reaction from me.

Re: Space Station 13
Resolves issue 499. Blood runes are now totally invisible to AIs.
Alien larva now chestburst even after their host has died. To do this I had to make a custom process() for the alien_embryo disease.
I gave up trying to get facehuggers to hug laying down mobs after a throw. Instead I just fixed the attack() proc so aliens can slap them onto people's faces.
Changed the chestbursting code so larva are created even if no client is available. I will be making a verb so ghosts can posses aliens/larvae with no ckey depending on what headcoders think of the idea. I didn't think it fair that aliens should suffer because not enough ghosts have be_alien enabled at the exact moment a larvae chestbursts.
Aliens can now slash cameras to deactivate them.
Also server is up.

-Nuke Op personal closets updated: Red spacesuits replaced with syndicate
hardsuits. Bulky riot shield replaced with collapsible energy shield. Plain
breathmasks replaced with face-hiding syndicate gasmasks. (For those worried
about the mask's impact on stealth, you still start with a normal breathmask in
your internals box.)
