I'm not a large fan of Electric types, besides Pikachu (=3). Just evolved my Nidorino into Nidoking with a Moonstone from the Ruins of Alph......And...

Nidoking ftw ...mine's at lvl 60 ish..already beating the Kanto Gym leaders across the board...not done...but shouldn't take me long...and man got lucky in the Pokemon League..xD a lot of 1 hit-KOs from my Nidoking saved my arse from the overpowered Champion pokemon..those things are hacked..legally..no way should anyone keep hitting thunders with 100% accuracy..there was no rain dance either >.<

Nidoking plows through Electric types easily. LZ, you're that far already? Sheesh, I'm still in Johto, somewhere around the 4th Gym badge.

Man i remember when i used to play crystal and yellow only, i always got a nidoran and trained it till it was a nidoking. Then i would pwn everything in site. Ah the good old days, but i refuse to buy anymore pokemon games because they have just been making stupid and stupider (if that is a word) pokemon. my favorite of all time was probaly lugia, and nidoking, they were awesome and i always brought them with me. Not to mention that it took me less than 40 hours to beat the main crystal quest all the way(johto gyms, elite 4?, and the kanto gyms) AND catch lugia and all of the dogs.

I admit, playing Silver all day long with my cousins was fun, with my odd Pikachu in tow, pacing through an extremely dark cave fighting Zubats.
I like the way Pokemon has improved, I have absolutley nothing against the new games.

yea if anything there's more to do now...especially with EV training and such..and yea I got introduced to pokemon through my cousin long ago...with games like pokemon red and yellow..and so forth..pretty much played at least one game from each generation after that..

as for me being so far ahead in the game...well it's mostly because I spent most of the time training that Nidoking and it pretty much overpowered everything..and if that failed..I always had Horn Drill as a backup...though I've started to train an Aggron to have a bulky psychical wall and with head smash it can at least do some damage if it needs to...though what I need to do is get some Special wall now..to prepare for Sabrina and her Psychic types >.>

Milotic is the best Special Wall ever. Surf, Ice Beam, Hypnosis, and Recover can plow through nearly anything.
LZ, have you got Lugia/Ho-Oh yet?

yea I got Lugia already..Ho-oh not yet..guess I need to finish some other side-quest thing..that I can't be bothered to do yet..xD

and as for a milotic well I would but can't access the Feebas in my copy of diamond >.< and appears that I managed to defeat sabrina either way...just broke her with stronger brute force..xD head smash is nice on aggron..

I caught Raikou yesterday, and nearly have whittled down Entei to catchable. 7 badges, I will not keep going farther until I get Entei. Wish me luck.

Assuming you only want UU/NU pokemon you could use a Alteria or a Swellow to fly.

Erik, Entei is terrible, I'd only recommend Suicune, although he's only available in Kanto. Just use regular Pokemon, so you can breed moves onto them and get the natures you need.

yea i realised that i just like dragons
but my flygon would pwn the electrivire and my gyrados would own the rock types cause its fast and know powerful water moves

Gyrados is only to be used with a physical moveset. Having Hydro Pump, the only powerful move I know of that Gyrados can learn, would do small damage.
I would consider adding Electivire to your team, because if Gyrados is out, electric moves do x4 damage, so switch out Gyrados with Electivire, who takes no damage from electric attacks (his ability make him gain speed if hit by an electric attack), and crush the other foe, assumed electric, with earthquake.

but if flygon went in first to kill electrivire then gyrados used surf against the rocks
i didnt say that you could only use gyrados's natural moves
and no i dont think gyrados is purely a physical monster since at lv 24 he can own a lv 56 graveler with surf problem solved also try teaching him ice beam or something

Seppy, as friendly advice, Gyrados's attack base stat is 140 more than it's special attack. I would reccommend using Waterfall instead of Surf.

No problem. My cousins were Pokemon Gurus back when Pearl and Diamond were released. If you enjoy Dragon types, here's a team that I would reccommend.

-Gyrados (Physical)
-Electivire (Physical)
-Flygon (Physical)
-Magmortar (Special)/Blaziken (Physical)
-Salamence (Physical/Special)
-Kingdra (Physical/Special)

4 Dragon types with 2 others that can confuse your opponent if you switch a Dragon out.
