I remember when they had these magical objects called CD's that you would listen to music on our download onto your music device.

I remember when people used iTunes for music at reasonable prices compared to the market.

I BLAME OBAMA FOR PEOPLE WHO FORGET THESE SERVICES.

If you bought a Zune, that's your own problem.

Sorry I skipped over it. And I don't squee. I know it has flaws too.

But seriously guys. I try to start a positive thread and it spirals out of control because Tim wanted me to pirate a $10 game.

Can we get back on track now seriously.

Many games are under-appreciated because they get torrented and lose many potential sales.

You didn't listen to me. CD's have been the original price for getting music for years. They are a reasonable price, because they have been used for years.

Well it's not like something only with big sales figure is famous. If it is pirated a lot it would become famous among the gamers anyway.

This.

And CDs aren't that reasonable IMO. If you have 12 full albums on an Mp3 player, you'll pay around or above $120 and have a bunch of songs you don't really want in the first place.

That's why there are tons of websites out there that let you download single MP3s for 99 cents or even less most of the time. Saying that there are no reasonable and/or cheap ways to legally acquire MP3s is just being ignorant and lazy.

99 cents is just as bad.

It's kinda like The Elder Scrolls, except from a German developer. They don't have radiant quests or scaled enemies. And a different combat system, which should appeal to Erik since it's a tad more challenging than the one in Oblivion/Skyrim. I really liked the fact that the games don't have scaled enemies. You have parts of the map where easy enemies reside, and parts where tough ones are. Which means if there is an area where you just have no chance against the enemies, chances are good you're not supposed to be there at this time, story-wise. They also don't respawn, which I like too. Gives a sense of accomplishment. Those are the things I remember most, it's been too long since I've played the games, but Gothic II was the game that brought me to TES:Oblivion.

If you aren't afraid of old graphics then you should definitely check the Gothic series out. I'd say the second one is the best of the series, but the first one is excellent too. Here, have some reviews:

Most of the world accepts the price. You only complain because you expect life to come freely to you.

I only complain because I'm not paying $500 for my whole collection just to feel all warm and fuzzy inside that producers of bands I like are getting paid.

Seriously. Get the hell on track.
